Anyone have a hysterosonogram and your experience?

I'm scheduled for a hysterosonogram in 2 weeks to see if I have any polyps or fibroid since my periods are out of whack.. I'm nervous they put saline in your uterus and said ill,have mild cramping and it's an hour! I'm really nervous anyone have this and what was it like?

I also had one in April because I was having irregular bleeding between periods and my doctor wanted to check for polyps, cysts, etc.  It did not take anywhere close to an hour - it was just a couple of minutes. It was a little painful but just felt like menstrual cramps, nothing unbearable. My doctor also biopsies the lining of my uterus so I had some light bleeding for a couple of days. Fortunately everything was clear and I am now 6 weeks pregnant! Good luck I hope yours goes well!

I had one done in February to check my uterus and fallopian tubes. It only took about 10 minutes. Are you sure they said it would take an hour for procedure? The cramping was not that bad. Pretty mild. Just take some ibuprofen about an hour before. My doctor told me to do that. Once they took the catheter out the cramping stopped. They said I could cramp some for the rest of the day but I didn't.

It wasn't too bad. It did hurt but it lasted less than 10 mins. I did have mild cramps for the rest of that day but nothing major
