Interracial couples

So my baby is going to be a quarter Irish, quarter German and half Filipino. My boyfriend is nervous about wether or not my family will be teaching it our language since he doesn't know any and he'll be left out. How did your significant other handle this? I'm 13+ weeks and we're due December 9th!
