Does it matter if your date makes as much money as you, or has as many degrees as you?

Her reply was negative to me... 🤔

She said don't just go after looks, & he may not want you, because you have a child, and he has more college degrees than you... 😒

Now this man is sexy as heck to me, but his profile turned me on first...🙊

I met my husband online. He was like 2 months away from graduating with a degree in physics and commissioning as an army officer...I was a divorced-at-22, college dropout divorcee. Luckily it didn't matter to him and he saw past all that. Believe me when I tell you...my life was a wreck 😅 he never held in against me. Not everyone who is educated or makes decent money is stuck up. Many, many men are willing to look beyond that.

My husband is very successful. Pre-med, major university graduate. He drove a Mercedes and had his own, very nice house (bought, not rented). He had no kids and never been married. Me, on the other hand, had two kids from two different fathers, divorced after being married to an abusive loser, highest level of education was a GED and a little college, and I lived with my parents. I owned my own car but it sure wasn't a luxury car. We met online and I just acted like we were equal, despite how it looked on paper, we were both people. Who I was on the inside was what he was looking for, not what degrees I had (or didn't have) or how much money I made (or didn't make). He loves me for who I am, not my financial worth. And he's a great step-dad for someone that didn't have a clue what to do with kids! If he's the right guy, he'll see way past your monetary value. Lol

I have more degrees than my husband and he makes $30k more than me. I have a Masters and he only has a Bachelors, but he's an engineer so he automatically makes more. I don't think it matters, to be honest.

I don't see the problem really a true friend would be like "go get it girl" and if he did reject you she'd be like "oh you're too good for him anyway!"

I have a PhD so that rule sucks for me. My boyfriend (who I met on OkCupid) is a teacher. He said that he was intimated by my degree but he messaged me anyway because he thought I seemed great. Yes I make more money than he does, but it doesn't matter to us.
