How old should babies be when they get blessed?

And what makes it a good age?
I'm trying to figure out when I should plan on having my baby blessed so family can make arrangements.

You may bless your baby whenever you feel you need/want to.  Remember that a baby blessing is not a 'saving' ordinance. It is an ordinance to pronouce the blessing, give the baby a name and to enter the child's name into the records of the church. Our son was 2 1/2 months old we wanted all family to be available but it's really hard to get EVERYONE together! unless your family is very flexable :) I've seen babies blessed as old as 1 before. My baby is only expected to live a few minutes after birth. Our bishop will be at the hospital and my husband will give our son a name and a blessing right when he comes out.

We're waiting 5-6 weeks. I'm due the end of August so I'm not worried about everyone being sick. My brother waited 3-4 months because they had a baby in December and didn't want her around everyone's germs.

With our first we waited 6 weeks I think. Same with our second. Our second was actually really sick at the time of her blessing so we had special permission to bless her at home. Our third will be about 4 weeks old or so when she's blessed.

We waited 6 mos to bless my son, did it the same time as our daughter baptism so family was there, we also waited 4 mos for her blessing when she was a baby so we could be with family as well. My oldest was blessed the fist fast Sunday after birth. And the latest is up until the kid can get baptized depending on the circumstances i.e.: adoption. But you'd have to work that out with your bishop.
