Putting new wife before children?

Question

My father has been married to my step mom for about 3 years and things get worse by the day. He continually fights for her and takes care of her son while rarely showing any affection towards my sister and I. It all came to a boiling point today and I totally exploded, letting all my emotions out. I cussed out my step mother and pointed out the obvious to my dad, who still refuses to think he's in the wrong and thinks I'm forcing him to choose. So, what do you think. Should a new wife's needs be put before that of your child's? Please help

Hi there.. First off I'm sorry you're having to go through this. 
To answer your question, no it is not okay for you father to be putting his wife and her child before you and your sister. You are still his children and he has no right to deny either of you one of your basic human needs. You did the right thing by telling him how you feel. 
Congratulations for having the courage to tell your stepmother off. I'm still trying work myself up to that.

I'm in a mixed family with three sets of parents for five children, crazy and weird, I know. I totally understand your feelings and they're definitely valid. Mixing families is extremely difficult and requires a lot of communication. I think the best way to grab his attention is to let your dad know that you want it; ask to schedule some days for just you and him, and the same with your sister. This way you get the one-on-one time you both deserve and there's more communication between all of you :) in regards to your stepmom, I wouldn't blame her too much, after all she's just as new to this as you are and maybe developing a relationship where you spend individual time with her would benefit as well. You can do this girlfriend!

No children are first..that woman should consider you and be there for you more as a friend and role model taking your feelings into consideration instead of making it an attention contest..dad is a man and thinks about one thing most the time..he is not thinking with his brain but rather doing what he is manipulated to do by dad..that is wrong..if she can't accept u then she needs to find someone with no kids..this is not right at all!!

I've been through that situation multiple times. My mothers boyfriends had usually always come first. 
Honestly, but sadly if he refuses to see things from your point of view there's really nothing you can do. 
I know, it's hard. But sometimes adults are too damn stubborn for their own good. 
The last resort is having a serious talk with him without lashing out & just backing up your feelings.
