Learned something new

So I was just lying in bed thinking and randomly started thinking about an argument my mom and I had about where the hymen was and what happens when you have sex. So, I decided tonight to look it up. We were both wrong about a lot of stuff. She said it was a covering on the entry to the vagina that was broken during sex and that even tampons could break it. I thought it was much further in and somehow opted to allow period blood out and anything inserted in. However, I found all this stuff on the internet (along with a few diagrams which really helped and more I fully understand where it is) so I thought I'd share it with everyone here. Pics not included. These are just some disproved myths I thought were interesting.
