Friend disappearing

I have an online friend who keeps disappearing. We only chat online and we got quite close but she keeps randomly disappearing, most of the times without warning, then returns and acts normal. When she disappears, I sometimes still see her online interacting with a few people, she just seems to avoid interacting with me and other few friends from our group.
