Reconciled to living an upright life

Please tell me i am not alone, or help if you anything. I breast feed and then burp baby, i let him lay on my chest till he falls asleep then i lay him down in his crib...where he immediately wakes up and starts making gurgling drowning wheezing noises usually followed by hiccups so i pick him up try to burp him more wait until he is calm and try again...where he again makes horrible wheezing noises and wakes up wriggling. I literally have to live sitting up holding this baby! *!?$* i just want to lay down.
