Personally,  I'm a fan. I test drove with just one pair but then went back and got a set.  Only tried the heavy/hipster brief style but fit well,  didn't feel weird and way less obtrusive than pads.  I typically use tampons and they serve as a backup or for overnight because I don't like leaving tampons in overnight.  Just hand was out (I do in shower the next morning) and hang drunk (you're not supposed to machine dry).  Pretty low maintenance and they're effective.  They are pricey and you might not like it,  so I'd recc doing a test drive maybe,  but they worked for me.

pretty much what I used to do, before I moved in with my boyfriend, and I had my period, at night I would wear like period underwear with a pad, maybe even do it during the day when I'm slouching around my parents house, but the day I had plans to leave the house for anything, I'd only wear the at night and tampons all day. if I'm going somewhere that was planned the same day I would shower and put a tampon in and come back home and switch to the pad.

I bought a pair. I got to use them for one cycle then I got (surprise) pregnant! I just wore them at bed time and didn't bleed all over like I typically do!
