When should I go see a gynecologist?

I'm not sure if there's a certain age or if I'm having any vaginal problems, is the time when I can go see one? Also I was curious if it's a gynecologist that perscribes you birth control or just your primary Doctor, I think I should go see one soon!

If you want to get on birth control you probably want to go see an obgyn. I didn't see an obgyn until I was pregnant at 20.
I'm just not comfortable around doctors in general and especially not ones who are looking at my who-ha.

I'd say probably age 16-18 is when you should start going especially if you feel off down there.
