Always hungry?

Question

My 2 week old has recently been rooting more than usual...
I usually feed her 2.5 oz of pumped milk and then top it off with breastfeeding until she falls asleep, but she has been nonstop wanting to breastfeed. She will fall asleep and as soon as I reposition her to burp, she starts crying and wanting the boob again.

This went on for hours.

Anybody experience something similar and any advice??

It's called cluster feeding. Totally normal around this time n babies don't always nurse because they are hungry. Sometimes it's to feel close to you and to feel safe. And sometimes the baby will just do it because he or she is using you as a pacifier. I wouldn't introduce the paci to him or her right now but in about a month, definitely try the paci. As for now, you kind of just have to bear with it. Don't worry it will get easier ! *Mommy to a 5 week old breastfed baby!*

Totally normal!! I thought I was going to die! He fed every 30 minutes for 2 weeks! He's 4 weeks now and it's getting much better!

Yes! Today my baby is 2 weeks and 2 days and he has been awake non stop all day long and just wanting to eat. He'll fall asleep and then wake up as soon as I move at all and want to eat all over again. I don't think he's really getting too much right now since he's been eating pretty much every hour sometimes more I'm trying not to cave and give him formula but idk what else to do! He won't even nap

I'm going through the same thing! I don't pump just breastfeed and I am stuck on the couch for hours while she is on the boob. I can't stand it! Idk what to do but it's very overwhelming
