Period and pregnant?

Is it possible to be pregnant but still have periods?? 
I don't feel like this is a period as its been less than 48 hours???

My friend had a 'period ' right up to giving birth to her second child,  she said it was lighter than a period, but still monthly. She had tests and scans done on her cervix and baby, but all was well she was Dr lead rather than midwife lead though. X

Could it be implantation bleeding?

I had a bleed for two days period like flow and spotting the next day (period is 7 days long typically) and felt off, but had a negative test. 5 days after I stopped the bleed I had I got a BFP. I did end up miscarrying though.

You can't have periods and be pregnant no but you can have breakthrough bleeding which is very similar to a period though
