High HCG and low progesterone??

Question

So my HCG is now good at 6.5 weeks (55,000) but my progesterone is at a 9. My OB out me on oral progesterone meds for it. I don't understand what this means?? Any stories or more info would be helpful!!

Progesterone is a pregnancy maintenance hormone. It's produced by the ovaries until the placenta takes over around 12 weeks. Italy's essential to stay pregnant. Normal level is at least 20, donuts good your dr put you on a supplement. Glad to hear you are doing well!!!

I have the same issue I started taking the pills Friday. I got blood work done on Wednesday and Friday. It went up some and hoping these pills help it spike back up.

I think progesterone is what helps thicken the lining of your uterus to keep baby nice and snug and implanted! Many women take supplemental progesterone and they'll probably make you take if with future pregnancies just to be safe! It's not uncommon don't stress!
