Mirena North control

Getting the Mirena tomorrow. I'm a little worried about the side effects. Any helpful tips or ideas to help me adjust. Or am I making a mistake?

I myself haven't had any side effects, but potential side effects listed in the Mirena pamphlet:http://labeling.bayerhealthcare.com/html/products/pi/Mirena_PI.pdfI 100% recommend having a read through this pamphlet. It explains the insertion, side effects, drug interactions and everything else you could imagine about it. It's super informative. It's a long read, but so worth it.I'll tell you now, the insertion wasn't fun, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever experienced. It was more uncomfortable than painful.Since getting my Mirena almost 6 months ago, I've had 2 periods in that time and maybe 20 days max of spotting. My experience so far has been fantastic.

I loved mine to start off with, no periods, no side effects, fast forward 6-8 months, hair loss, high blood pressure, major mood swings, constant cramps all day every day and a big cyst on one of my ovaries. It's been removed on Thursday! I cannot wait!

It's really a matter of opinion on this because it effects women differently. I've read that some women love theirs, but I have a friend that had to get hers taken out because it implanted itself in her uterus and was causing severe pain and bleeding. It also caused her to get PCOS.

I loved mine . When inserted was a quick pinch then a little cramping. Had 2 periods then none no spotting or anything. Taking out was again a quick pinch like feeling and it was out.period returned within 2 months and was regular. Took us a few yrs after it was removed to get pregnant but that could be unrelated who knows. Over all I loved it and will get it again when done ttc.
