Anyone else afraid to bring a child into this world?

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my first and likely only child. My husband and I weren't planning to have kids. This world is filled with such hate and bigotry. So much ignorance. I feel like education is key to changing this, especially in this country, except the people who need education and empathy the most have no desire to change. I'm very afraid to bring my son into this world.

I'm not afraid because our children will be the voices of change and love. I am proud to bring our future world leaders of acceptance to life and encourage all of the positivity and joy that our communities are lacking.

It isnt about the world around them its about what you cant teach them. If you teach them compassion, wisdom, love and how to be a good person they will thrive :) xx

I have so many plans for my son... I want him to have a voice, a positive voice in the world. 
I want him to want to make a difference and be somebody...

Although some people in this world are full of hatred, your child doesn't have to be like that. Teach them love and that will determine the way they view the world.

I have the same mindset as you. There's no way I will plan on kids but like you if an accident happens I'll keep my baby. I think just do your best. It's hard to get away from guilting yourself but try to not do that too much.

I've brought 2 into this world and part of me is feeling guilty for the timing.. But also I agree that our kids will be the ones to change the world.

I felt that way when I lived in the US. In Ireland, I feel differently. It's much safer here. But generally speaking, I think the whole world is pretty screwed up 😞
