Baby Carriers - Good or Bad?

Stacey • Mother to a beautiful little boy born in March 2014 and expecting his baby sister May 31st/June 1st 2016. Age: 24 💙💜

I have recently had my second baby. I am 18 days into recovery so nearly 3 weeks. I have a 2 year old son and he is very active. I really want to go out but I live on a middle of a hill so I can't go out using the pram until 6 weeks recovery. Thats 3 weeks away!

I want to take my son to nursery and its about 5-10 minute walk just down our hill but getting back would be a problem with a pram up the hill.

Anyway I was thinking of a baby carrier and then I would have my hands free to walk my son and hold his reins on our trip there or if he plays up.

My question is are baby carriers ok to use or will it damage my daughters hips/legs?

Also the two I was looking into were the chicco go baby carrier or the babyway 3 in 1 carrier. I don't want an expensive one as I wouldn't use it after I can use the pram but I feel so bad for my son being at home with me and only going out when someone offers to take him.
