When to tell parents?

I'm only 4w5d... Is it too soon to tell my parents? My husband is the only one who knows, and he has to leave the country tomorrow for a week for work. I really need support right now so I don't feel like I can wait til 12 weeks! Thanks everyone!

Whenever you want! :) I told my parents the day we got the positive test. It's my first pregnancy and I wanted the support of my mom right away.

I told my SO and mom right away but kept it a secret from the rest of the world until around 20 weeks.. Whatever you feel comfortable with!

Tell as soon as you want to. :) I was told not to share the news until I hit the second trimester and I still ended up telling everyone at 7 & a half weeks.

That's a really personal decision, but you will definitely want some support! We told our parents at about 8 weeks, which was when we could make an excuse to get both sets of parents together (something that was important to us).

I'd advise that you tell the people you'd be comfortable sharing with if the worst were to happen, and wait until at least after you've heard a heartbeat to tell the rest.

It's nice to tell people. Especially if there is an issue or miscarriage they are there for you. Not I am pretty introverted and if something happen to our baby I would just want to be alone with no one bombarding that is how I cope and it's fine.
