Acrylics

So yesterday I went in a nail salon to get acrylic nails at the moment I liked the color I chose but when I got home I saw that I don't have clothes that go with the nail polish I chose. So I was wondering if I put nail polish remover to take the color off will that take the acrylics off?? Or what can i just paint over the color that lady put with no problem??
