Husband says mean things in an argument...

When things get heated when my husband and I are arguing, he says things that really break my heart, and he doesn't seem to care that I'm upset.
His latest today was "He is sorry he committed himself to this marriage. "
"Why did you marry me? I don't know, cause you always get what you want".
"I hate talking to someone whose make up looks like that because she is crying all the time"
I just don't know why he feels the need to be rude and hurtful and can't talk things out like mature adults and come to some sort of plan to not let arguments get to to the point of such hurtful words.
