What do you say to someone going into surgery?

Hey guys, I need a little help. My grandfather goes in for a quadruple bypass surgery tomorrow. He is 78 and I'm extremely nervous for him, although it is a commonly done procedure. I want to give him one more call this evening before he goes in the morning but I'm kind of stuck on what to say? "Good luck" seems strange. I'm worried about him making it through and definitely don't want him to feel like I forgot about his surgery. So what would you say without implying that you think he might not make it?

I would just talk to him, tell him you are thinking of him and you'll see him when he's in recovery or back at home or whatever it is! Ask him about other stuff too, don't just make it about surgery.

I would just talk about anything.  Tel him you love him and you'll see him after,  if your close enough to visit.  I would concentrate the call in the surgery as he may be nervous about it as well.  Tell him to get some rest tonight maybe ask him if there's anything he'd like to read our something in the hospital that you could bring him
