SURGERY! Experiences?

Question

Torn meniscus. Surgery in three weeks. I'm SO SCARED AND NERVOUS AND ANXIOUS.......

I know it sounds so silly but....what if I don't wake up? Anything could happen. I just have an awful awful feeling about it.

Never had surgery before. Advice? Experiences? Help me!

I had knee surgery in December. I was so scared cause it was my first surgery. Ask your doctor any questions you have. It's basically gonna feel like a really good nap.

Hour in and out of the hospital generally the same day or the next day. It does hurt after but nothing you can't handle. Make sure you relax and if your scared talk to your doctor and ask every question you have. Be Prepaired for a possible slow recovery with a lot of physical therapy. Generally it's not to slow for recovery but people all heal differently

I had surgery for a torn meniscus and torn ACL ligament a few years ago. Don't worry! You'll be ok! :) I was out of the hospital the same day.

I work in surgery and all I can say to you is just relax there know what there doing and if there didn't think it was needed there wouldn't.
