Not to me.. what will happen when I'm on the go? I will not be carrying the bottle warmer around with me. . Same way I feel about baby wipes warmers... what's gonna happen when I'm out and about? Carry that with me too'? Because my baby NEEDS warmers for both bottles and wipes?? And now because I got her used to it, she will cry without them? Nope, nope nope! That's ok. . All of these are IN MY OPINION quite ridiculous products and absolutely not necessarily. They create more drama than they resolve issues.. And I'm not talking form the MONEY point of view. . I have PLENTY of money... I just find warmers ridiculous...

from the frige, to her month. . I've seen plenty of friends to that. .and their babies were NEVER fussy about anything. . if anything, just take it out half an hour before u think u will need it. .

I agree. they're useless.. along with diaper genies and white noise machines. room temp is fine and if you ebf you'll just have to feed off the breast while out and only warm bottles at home. a cup of water works just as well if not better than a bottle warmer

We use our bottle warmer every day, we store breast milk in the fridge. Usually I turn on the bottle warmer, hold the bottle under hot running water until the warmer is heated (like 30 seconds) then change my baby's diaper or make myself a cup of tea and in 3 minutes the bottle is ready. If I'm in a rush I'll just hold it under hot tap water for a minute and swirl it around. But if we don't heat it, the milk stays separated and she doesn't like it. I say yes if you plan on pumping.

Which one do you have that you like??

If you're using breast milk, from my understanding (mind you I nursed 8-10 yrs ago) you are to ONLY use heated water for warming milk. Anything else will destroy the properties in the breast milk. On the contrary maybe it'd be useful for formula but I know nothing about that.

Oh that's good to know! I'm then assuming that it doesn't get too hot (the heart too can ruin the milk).

A bottle warmer only uses water

I think it's a good idea if you plan to pump. Get one that's a warmer and cooler so that you don't have to be the only one feeding baby throughout the night. This way when you're SO gets up to feed baby it's all right in the room.

I had a bottle warmer with my first. I prefer to use the hot water in a cup method.

Yeah I think so. I got a cheap one like $15-20. Tap water takes way to long. especially if you have breastmilk with some frozen chunks still in it and tap water doesn't warm throughly. Boiling water takes awhile too. Microwaves are bad. Bottle warmers aren't really that expensive and they warm a bottle in seconds and beep when it's ready. Prep the bottle. Put the in the warmer. Go change the diaper and go back to the warmer with the baby and start feeding. That was our ritual for awhile

It's really personal preference. We received one as a gift and returned it. Even with refrigerated/frozen pumped milk, placing the bottle or bag in a bowl of hot water was fairly quick and effective. But I have some friends who swear by theirs. So no, not a necessity for all.

I have one... It's never been used

Not worth it. It is perfectly fine to give cold milk/formula to a baby, anyhow. Some even prefer it in the summer heat.

I used mine all the time. And I used plastic bottles (dr Browns) and you're are not supposed to microwave plastic.. I liked my warmer, I got int a routine where I had one bottle that I always used for heating the water and measuring.. While that was heating I'd scoop the formula in the other one and prep things for a feeding. I plan on getting another this time. :)
