Emergency c section?

Question

Has anyone had an emergency c section?  Do you still get the epidural? Or do you feel the whole thing?

How does that work

Answer

You would either be put out or get a spinal.  You wouldn't feel it!

You get a shot in your back and you don't feel anything until the anesthesia wears off...I've had 2 c-sections.

I had an emergency c section after 22 hours of labor. I had an epidural while in labor. Once they did the c section I had a second epidural. The second one was much different tho. It was alot stronger. I didn't feel anything from the waste down. I was awake when the baby came out which I was happy with that cuz I didn't wanna be past out while my baby was being born. My advise is to stay awake that way u know what's going on.

I hope they wouldn't make you feel the whole thing! That'd be just wrong! Some times they end up putting you all the way under also. But yes you get a spinal!
