Really early Braxton hicks anyone??

I'm 16 weeks pregnant with my second child and have been having Braxton hicks contractions. And not like baby ones either. The other day I actually had to go to the hospital because they would not go away. Apparently it isn't common to have them so early but they can start at the beginning of the second trimester. Anyone else having this issue too? Or am I just REALLY unlucky lol

What do they feel like? I think I just had one my stomach felt like it moved and hardened up. How often do you get them?

I have been getting them since 15 weeks. I feel your pain. Literally lol. Plus it's scary. I keep worrying that I'll actually go into labor.

Me too! I had them early with my son but not this early... That I can remember. I looked it up and also asked the ladies here and found out it's pretty normal! Good luck.

I am the same way. I am 19 weeks today and I had a contraction yesterday in the store. And it was painful. I remeber getting Braxton hicks toward the end with my first pregnancy, but nothing painful. This felt like a full on contraction, but it was just 1 thankfully. Still plan to ask my doctor about it next week.

Update: talked to my doctor. Turns out it really isn't an issue as long as they aren't like actual contractions. So they gave me a prescription for the medicine the hospital gave me incase it does start up like real contractions again. So relieved.

I'm having really early BH as well started around 15 weeks and I'm 18 weeks today. I had to go in last week to get checked because they were stronger BH and I've had preterm labor with 2 or my 3 previous pregnancies so they wanted to be safe and I now have to go to a high risk doctor on the 29th and she told me if the contractions get stronger OR start a pattern I need to go in right away.  So far they've been irregular but strong (which is how they were with my last 2 pregnancies before labor hit) and I've been told to rest until I see the high risk doctor. Easier said than done with a 8, 6 and 3 year old at home though. Lol.

It is definitely not fun and I wish you the best. Hopefully your little one stays in there until he/she is done cooking. :)
