Tomorrow is our gender ultra sound....I'm so excited and scared in the same breath we are praying for a girl and honestly will probably cry if it's a boy. I feel terrible for saying that but have any other mommies felt this way?

My SO and I both really wanted a girl! All the old wives tales said it was a girl, even had dreams of girls. My whole family thought it was a girl, got themselves all worked up believing it and even bought girl bibs and clothes.

And wouldn't you know it... at 16 weeks, we found out it was a little boy. A very obviously gifted boy, no questions. It was confirmed on our 20 week ultrasound, still gifted lol.

So yeah, there was lots of dissapointment and lots of "what happened to mothers intuition?" I felt pretty bad.

But I've grown to love and be attached to him. As his daddy and I call him by name, tell him we love him and feel him move around, we love him more and more and now I couldn't imagine the heartbreak if it suddenly turned out to be a girl. I want my boy!

So even if you do face some gender disappointment and cry a bit, don't worry! It's normal and you'll love him just as much. Hoping you get your girl, though! 😊

This is my first pregnancy and I'm still early. I feel kind of like you. I want a boy Badly! Like I may cry if it's a girl, but at the end of the day my dream has always been to be a mommy so I will love him or her the same either way. I just prefer boys, I wanna give my stepson a brother, and I also am In love with our boy name so I can definitely understand where you're coming from. It's ok to cry, but just know it's a healthy baby and we ultimately can't be picky, even though we are b/c we are Human!
