Mild cradle cap?

Can I put lotion on my baby's head for mild cradle cap? I tried using baby oil already and washed it out with soap and combed her hair. It seemed to help a little bit but her scalp still looks dry. Can I put a little lotion on the dry spots?

I used coconut oil and it worked wonders for my little guy

You can, but what worked best with us was using aquaphor on their head(he was allergic to coconut oil) My nephew had it horribly bad and we found the best fix was to wash hair every other day and buy this guy to wash their hair. And we use Dove sensitive skin nourishing body wash nutrium moisture wash on his head for shampoo. And within a week his head was almost completely healed.
