Anyone have any semi easy recipes of all types of things, I'm trying to learn how to cook since i just got my own apartment with my boyfriend and I'm also pregnant and when it comes down to my baby eating real foods I'd rather not have her on frozen dinners!!

oooo my new fave: slice carrots very thin (but flat so kinda chip like). put on oven tray with non stick spray. Sprinkle with ground cumin and garlic powder. toss. make sure it's only one layer on the pan. roast at 400 until crispy

I like to do chicken quarters or drumsticks with just some garlic salt, pepper and either sage or paprika. I cook them at 400 Celsius until they register 170 on my meat thermometer.

mashed potatoes are easy. cut up potatos, boil until really tender, drain, add butter and a bit of milk and whip with a hand mixer.  If they're too dry add more milk to taste.  salt and pepper to taste.

you can roast pretty much any veg. I mince garlic and put whatever veg I'm using in a bowl and add garlic and a bit of olive oil. salt and pepper. Mix.

spray a pan with non stick spray, put veg on it. back at 350 for 20-25 mins.

This cake is called "Too Much Chocolate Cake". Not at all healthy but soooooo goodYou will need:1 package of Devil's food cake mix1 (5.9 oz) package of instant pudding mix1 cup sour cream1 cup vegetable oil4 eggs1/2 cup warm water2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).In a large bowl, mix together the cake and pudding mixes, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs and water. Stir in the chocolate chips and pour batter into a well greased 12 cup bundt pan.Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until top is springy to the touch and a wooden toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool cake thoroughly in pan at least an hour and a half before inverting onto a plate If desired, dust the cake with powdered sugar.

Shrimp ceviche.  You're pregnant soooo :

Boil some water, turn off the flame and add fresh shrimp. Leave them in the water for 3 minutes or so.

Next, get a bowl, put the shrimp in, & squeeze enough lime/ lemon juice to cover the shrimp. You can also add some squeezed orange if you wish. Cover & put in frige for around 10 minutes.

Cube some onion,  cucumber,  tomato,  green pepper, and avocado. Chop up some cilantro. I should add don't cube the avocado too early 'cause, well ... avocado and air.

Add onion, green peppers, cilantro,  and tomatoes to the shrimp. Mix.

Let sit for a few minutes at room temp before you serve, then add the cucumber & avocado & a little olive oil. Mix.

Salt and pepper to taste. Eat.

Oh, put a little bit of the liquid into the bottom of the serving dish before adding the mixed ingredients.

Something super easy for lunch would be a pita bread, with some tomato sauce,  and cheese. Make a mini pizza in the oven. You can even get low fat cheese and wheat pitas. And cut up some veggies. Quick easy snack, especially if your pregnant

Saute onion, garlic and chopped bacon, add a tub of cream and parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Simmer. Easy pasta recipe. If you want more filling chop and fry chicken pieces then add the rest of the ingredients

Chicken in a skillet with some lemon juice and some seasoning. Cut up some red potatoes, place them in a pan drizzle some olive oil and seasoning on top,  and bake until they are tender. And I love asparagus and brocoli in a frying pan with some olive oil and minced garlic with Italian seasoning. Cook until browned or how ever you like it.

Banana oat pancakes or waffles are another good easy breakfast idea.  Just use 1 egg, some oats, and a banana or two blend together.. use that as your batter for pancakes and they are delicious and semi healthy (much more than regular pancakes) you can also use syrup instead of honey.

Saute red onion and garlic finely chopped in olive oil, pour in a couple tins of chopped tomatoes, add salt, pepper and sugar, if you wish add fresh basil and or parsley, simmer. Easy pasta recipe
