Postpartum depression?

Has anyone ever had this if so can you explain what you felt like and how you got through it? I had my dd 8 months ago and the last three months I just feel so depressed. Almost to the point I think my sweet baby would be better of with out me bc its only gunna be a matter of time before I disappoint her.. I feel so worthless and like I'm not good enough for anything. Any help would be nice! Also I got pregnant after my dd but it ended in another mc.. Maybe that's it idk..

Simply put, I didn't love my baby. It took me months to love and accept her as my child. She was there, and I had to take care of her, so I did. But I didn't love her.

Talk to your OB, or skip the middle man and find a therapist and/or psychiatrist. Sometimes PPD needs medication to help balance you. Sometimes it doesn't. There is no shame in either circumstance. There is no shame in having PPD. Just talk to a professional and get some help.

I just called my ob I scheduled me a appointment. He can't write me out anything but he can refer me to someone else to help me. I feel so empty and numb. Thank y'all for yalls help!

I have bad postnatal deppreshion after ibhad my son i ended up with severe ocd as well i wouldnt talk to people i was scared everyone would die i loved my son noone was allowed to touch him everyone had to wash there hands everything was scrubbed i just felt my life spireling out of control my mum eventually dragged me to the doctors as my seazures got worse as i was containtly stressed i went to see a counselor in the end

My mum had it with me too and she didnt want me she tried so hard to have me that when i finially came she thought id be taken away again so she couldnt bond with me my dad eventually took her to the hospital when i was a year and a half he had to go walk my mum miles and miles everydaynto clam her down!

Theres diffrent things that can happen but never ever feel that your not a good mum and theyd be better off without you ! Go and get some help and i garentee in a few months youll feel loads better ! Xx

I felt like I was walking around in someone else's life. I didn't want my baby. I asked my hubby repeatedly if we could just give him away so that maybe I might feel normal again. I cried all the time. I was always zoned out. My mom came over one day and I didn't even hear her come in the house. She said I was just sitting on the couch staring at the TV which wasn't even on. And the baby was just laying on the floor by my feet. I didn't have interest in anything or anyone. I finally called my dr and they got me started on antidepressants that day. It took about 2 weeks to feel normal again.. But once I did.. I was so upset all over again for having felt that way.. And for not wanting my baby. I never ever want to feel that way again. With my last pregnancy my dr started me on the antidepressants at 36 weeks to avoid PPD again and it worked. I'm really hoping they let me do it again this time too.

My hospital had free post partum depression groups.  It was very helpful.  My daughter is almost 6 and I still have thoughts that I'm not "good enough"

That's pretty much how I felt. Worthless and depressed. I also felt like I didn't want my child. I felt very detached from her, like she wasn't mine. But I also suffered from borderline PP psychosis. My case was a bit severe. If you are having depression symptoms this long after having your baby, it's definitely more than the typical "baby blues" and you need to get help before it gets worse. It was a very dark time in my life but it got better very quickly with the right treatment.
