3D 4D ultrasound

Tabitha
I am going to a 3D 4D ultrasound place on Monday to find out the gender of our precious miracle. I will be 14 weeks exactly. My question is, how many people have done this and the gender be correct? I have a couple of friends who have done it at 14 weeks and the gender was correct for them, but I'm getting nervous now because what if it's not right? I currently am stationed in California with my husband. He is currently in Iraq on his first deployment and I will be driving back to Washington on July 1st for a couple of weeks. When I go back home I will be having my baby shower because this is the only time I will be able to actually have one. I know it's very early, but I don't really have an option to have it later on like most people do. I am going to announce what we are having before the shower so that everyone knows, but I am just nervous the gender will be incorrect. 😁 I have another apt with my obgyn on the 29th right before I go back home. I'm pretty sure we will be doing an ultrasound because I am Type 1 diabetic which makes me a high risk pregnancy. I want to ask my doctor if he can tell the gender, but the naval hospital usually does not tell people until 16-20 weeks, but usually waits until closer to 20. I'm hoping he will still try and look for me since I will already know the gender. I just want reassurance before my shower. 😁
