Is this my period?

Question

I was 40 days late for my period, I got a positive pregnancy test and made an appointment for my first oltrasound. Two days ago I started having brown discharge. Now it's progressed to light pink blood with a little bit of dark red blood. (Gross I know)
Is this my period? It's just really light, and I'm confused. I probably bleed a pads worth in 3 days.

And like I said there is some dark red blood but it's mostly this brown discharge and my periods have never looked like this.

Your body could just be getting rid of the old blood and preparing itself for pregnancy but any bleeding during pregnancy should be checked immediately.

Well if you got a positive pregnancy test you're more than likely pregnant. It's very rare to get a false positive. I would maybe call the OBs office and see what they have to say. Or you could go to a women's health clinic in your area as a walk in and have them examine you and confirm your pregnancy.
