I'm a surgical tech and we clean out your belly button before surgery every time. (If the incision is near it of course) We pull out nasty stuff and the smell is horrendous. Please for the love of my fellow surgical team members, clean out your belly button regularly.

Sometimes when I remember. My belly button is like a perfect circle. It's an inner one and it doesn't fold or over lap inside so there's no sweat or things getting stuck In there. I've never had to pull anything out of it and it never stinks. My SO on the other hand? 😂😂😂😂 ew
