Our LO is 24 days and we still have family trickling in as we live 3 hours away. The majority of family staying with us this far have been helpful and great. However, tonight I've lost my pactience with my Aunt who was here less than 3 hours. She never BF her child 40 years ago and she thinks she's an expert. Keeps questioning me on when I'll give LO a pacifier, when he cries goes on and on that I should be giving him a pacifier. When he makes a sucking movement assumes he's hungry and keeps telling me to feed him an hour after he ate. Hello! I'm not starving my child and sucking is a normal reflex for babies to comfort which doesn't mean they're hungry. Within 3 hours LO had a meltdown because he was way over tired, ended up missing his nap completely and I was given suggestion after suggestion. Hot damn, things are so much easier when I'm home alone with my husband or helpful family who don't question my parenting style.
