My baby can only entertain herself with an activity (like her play gym) for 10 mins or play with a toy for 10 mins after she wakes. Even reading is too boring for her. After that I have to walk her around the house, she likes to be held in front of me with her body facing outwards so she can look at things. If I don't keep her constantly and actively entertained the entire time she is awake she will cry.
