Pls help! Any health workers ?

Question

I was 16days late for my second period after giving birth.
And finally when I got my period
It's not stopping im on day 8
I normally last 5days.
I thought it was a miscarriage 
Since I was having all the pregnancy symptoms. And I took a test today 
(Still bleeding) it came back negative.
I was hoping hcg levels can still show.
But nothing.
My bleeding started with light bright red bleeding to heavy bleeding with large blood cots that I've never experienced. And now I feel super weak and cramping.
Still bleeding I have to change my pad at least twice in a hour

I'm not a health care worker, but I do know that your periods after having a baby are usually like WAY WAY heavier than your normal periods and they're very irregular. They can also cause severe cramping that reminds you of child birth. It's because your uterus is still not back to its normal self. And this is definitely in cases where you have your period like two or so months after having baby, not so much if you go a year after without it, but it sounds like a completely normal thing to me.

I work in the healthcare field, after you have a baby your cycle will take a while to get back on track, if you started a new birth control that to will make your cycle be all over the place until your body gets adjusted. Honesty I would advise you to contact your ob/gyn with any concerns you maybe having they are the best to give you accurate information about what is hoing on with you and if need be they can prescribe or run test if they think it's necessary. If you think you have had a possible miscarriage make an appointment to be seen to be safe.

It's normal after giving birth that your cycle be all sorts of crazy. Just because it isn't normal does it mean that you were pregnant per se. I always had a very light cycle that only lasted a couple days and only required thin liners . after having my son My Cycles have been 5 to 7 days long with lots of bleeding which is not typical of me pre baby.

Personally experience you can't expect your period to be how it use to be you just had a baby it takes time for your body to regulate I got my period three months after having my baby and it was for two weeks when before I had him at the most it was four days, if your really concerned you can always talk to your obgyn

You should contact your doctor though because going through two pads in that short amount of time can mean a hemorrhage which can happen after childbirth and VERY dangerous. Call your doctor asap. May be nothing but better safe than sorry.
