Did you have a baby shower for everyone of your babies?

Question

I had one for my first 3 kids. (#1-boy #2-girl #3-girl) My girls were 6 years apart. I'm having a baby in January and I'm not really think I want one this time. Thoughts?

I've heard proper etiquette is only a shower for the first baby. If someone else wants to throw you a "sprinkle" then that's fine but it shouldn't be a full blown baby shower.

I say diaper shower is most appropriate if not much time has past. When I get invited to a shower where mom has had a child in the last 2-3 years I get a box of diapers. Nothing from a registry. More than likely they will for sure be used over any outfit or other thing they may already have. But if 5+ years has past I would understand. Some people rid themselves of a lot of stuff if they thing they may not have another.

I had one for both of my boys, just shy of 3yr a part... my family feels every baby should be "showered". 
I dont know whats wrong with me, this time, over 4yr time we are having twins and in not feeling it.

Id say, if someone offers to host something for you have a diaper party or sprinkle. Something to honor the new life.

That's why I was wondering because these two babies are only going to be 13 months apart. I mean if someone decided to throw one for me then fine but I'm not going to initiate one

I had a small one with my first with my family, fiancé and I were split at the time and I was 17 in 2008. Our second daughter in 2013 my stepmom threw me a shower and both families were there it was kinda big. Now In the same conversation of telling my stepmom I'm pregnant again she's trying to plan another. I've heard of shower eittiquite and don't really know how our families feel on it and idk what to say to her.

I had one for each of mine but first was a boy and a girl 5 years later. I won't be having one with this one even though it's been 6 years bcuz it's s little much & this one was planned.

I had a large shower for my first with friends and family. My next two (just 18 mo apart), I was given a shower from my work. I think they just wanted a reason to have cake! :) My last baby was the 8 years later. A friend gave me a proper shower bc I had nothing!

My family is ADAMANT that you get ONE shower in your life. No sprinkle. No nothing.

For any of my friends and family who have had relatively close pregnancies, we did a shower for the first and a "sprinkle" for any consequent pregnancies. At the sprinkle, it's generally a smaller group of women - usually a light brunch at a restaurant or something easy - and gifts consisted mostly of clothing or smaller items, as opposed to staple items since they more than likely have all of these already!!

I had a shower for my last two. My first was a boy and my second a girl they are also 7 and a half years apart. However my showers are thrown by my friends. And they are already planning this one lol.  They just like to party haha.

I think baby shower etiquette is first baby only unless your second kid is 8 years after your first... Not that everyone follows this. But I did have a friend have a shower for every one of her kids, 5 in 5 years and it got a little much... Every child should be celebrated but I do think you can ask too much of your friends.
