Epidural?

FTM here, already 9 days overdue and I'm considering getting the epidural..on a scale from 1 to 10 how bad does it hurt to receive it ?

I can tolerate shots and IV pain pretty well..I just have yet to experience the epidural pain. LMK 😄

With my first I had a natural birth and it was the most painful thing in my life!!! I can't even describe how bad it was but I really wanted to do it natural. This time with my 2nd, I'm going to get the epidural! Who cares about a shot when you're in so much pain!? No one gives you an award for having a baby all natural.

Hurts a lot less than contractions. It really only feels like pressure.

To me getting an epidural did not hurt at all. To me it just felt like more pressure than anything. It's over in a second & it helped me relax and progress.

I was afraid of the epidural but when you feel contraction pain, you'll take whatever they can give you.  It's more of an uncomfortable feeling but the whole process takes about 10min.  Once you receive the medications, you no longer have pain and can still move your legs somewhat.

I felt no pain during labor or pushing.  It was a great experience overall.  I would receive am epidural again.

I was having contractions every 30 seconds and did not feel a thing. Not the needle to numb it, the catheter, nothing. I didn't realize they had even started when they told me they were done. I had gone in going for a natural birth but unfortunately for me it was either get the epidural so my body relaxed and finished dilating or end up with a c section. I'm glad I got the epidural. They also gave me the lowest amount of medication they could so I could still feel my contractions. It wore off by the time I started pushing.

In all honesty it doesn't really hurt. You feel a pinch and that's it. The biggest part that is painful is the contractions that you feel before its done. The pinch you feel is the numbing shot and after is contractions.

It doesn't hurt, but it feels weird going in. I had bad contractions while they were trying to give me epidural so it was very hard to stay still in so much pain. For me the epidural only lasted a couple hours. I was in worse pain than my first child and I didn't have an epidural. But, it works different for everyone I guess.

The contractions way out do the pain from the epidural and at least in my case. 
because my contractions were coming every 2 minutes, I had to lean over a chair so they could do the epidural and hold still through 2 contractions! 
Once it was in it was just pressure, though I hated that I couldn't move around

Epidural YES. Had 1 for my 1st. 2nd progressed too fast for epidural. The anesthesiologist was there waiting, but LO was too quick. Quick quick labor, but otherwise, I would have had one.
