What do you use while swimming

So my friend is dead set on using a pad when she swims and she said it's completely normal. Personally I don't like the idea of it, I just want to see what you guys think.

Okay no, that won't work. The pad is going to fill up with water. Go hold a pad under a water faucet and see what happens. she'll be lucky if it doesn't fall out of her swimsuit. Pads aren't water proof, the stuff that makes them stick to your underwear will become useless so she can have fun with that.

Pad will fill with water and can leak blood in the pool. That is gross and just flat out unsanitary!

In my own pool at home I don't use anything because for some reason literally nothing comes out when I even touch water. But when I'm in public pools I use a menstrual cup just incase.

Honestly there have been days when I don't use either but I feel like I have a light period in general so.. is like it "stops".

Before I was comfortable with tampons, I used pads while swimming. It wasn't great, it was like wearing a soggy nappy. But honestly, it's her body, her choice.

Definitely wouldn't use pads when swimming just bc its not going to absorb anything since it's gonna absorb the water right away.
