I bought a Fetal heart doppler

I couldn't find the babies heart beat with the fetal doppler my husband bought. Now I'm kinda freaking out. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and this my first pregnancy. I had him buy because I just didn't feel pregnant. Anyone else feel like this or had this happen? I have a doctors appointment on Thursday and I'm Scared.
