Racists Posts
I know I’m going to get a lot of flak for this, but I don’t care!
I am so tired of seeing all these racists posts because of the Ferguson trial. Seriously, let it go. There was a trial, there was a jury. The decision of the jury wasn’t based on the race of the victim or the accused. The decision was based on the evidence. If you’re not happy with the decision, fine. Go to law school and become a lawyer or judge, or go to the police academy and become a cop. DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE that can help something like this in the future, instead of screaming the race card!
I am far from racist or prejudice. Some of my closest friends are of different races, sexual orientation, religions, or in interracial relationships, but with that being said, the only time there are riots or people screaming the race card on a murder trial (and I’m using this as an example of the racists posts because that’s what’s happening right now, but there are so much more than just about this trial), is when a non-black person kills a black person, whether its murder or self-defense. There are plenty black on non-black murder, or even black on black murder for that matter, but you don’t hear anything about them from the non-blacks. When these riots and race cards happen, it seems like the people doing this are screaming “Only non-black people are racists!” and it’s just totally not true.
Anyone can be racist, ANYONE. The ones who are doing the rioting, those are the racists. The ones who say “He only got off because of his color” or “He only got off because of the color of the victim”…. THOSE ARE THE RACISTS! Everyone needs to just stop feeling as if they’re owed something because of the color of their skin, or because of what their ancestors went through. If there are any people in this day and age that have been slaves or have owned slaves (which I highly doubt, but anything is possible), then they have the right to feel the way they do, because they lived through it. But anyone that was born in the last 50 years has no right to act and feel that something is owed to them because of the color of their skin, no matter the color.
This world would be so much better if people just stopped looking at the color of other peoples skin, whether they like the same sex or opposite sex, their religion, or whether they like the same race or a different race, and looked at the person within; if people would just stop feeling as if something was owed to them because of the color of their skin, or because of what their ancestors went through; if people had morals and self-respect, and respect of others, then this world would be a lot better. You aren’t owed anything. None of us are. We should have to earn what we receive! Just because you are of a certain race, or because you had a baby and aren’t married, or because you like the same sex, or because your part of a minority religion, or because you like a different race, that shouldn’t mean you should get special treatment! Everyone should be treated equally! No matter the color of your skin, how many kids you have (married or not), what your sexual orientation is, what religion you are, what race you date… None of that should matter. What should matter is how you treat people. What should matter is how hard you work for what you want. If you treat people like shit, well expect to get treated like shit. If you don’t work for anything, well expect to get nothing. Plain and simple! And please don't comment saying "Well you're white and straight, you don't know what we go through!" Just because I'm white and straight doesn't mean anything. I go through my own hell sometimes, whether it be because of the color of my skin, my sex, or my religion. I just suck it up and deal with it, like a grown adult should. I don't complain to anyone who will listen. I don't throw the race card around like its a baseball. I don't gather with people and riot. I just deal with it, and feel sorry for those who do it. Because at the end of the day, the only one who matters and who can judge you is your maker. In the words of Raven Symone (paraphrased a bit)… I am not white. I am American. #EndRant #LetTheNegativityBegin #ProudToBeAmerican
