Cloth diapering?

I'm just starting to research cloth diapering and am a little overwhelmed by all the options out there. I'm also still trying to decide whether or not it would be a good idea for us. Does anyone have any thoughts to share about your experiences with reusable diapers and any recommendations for brands and styles?

I %100 recommend them as they are more economical as well as better for the environment. No harsh chemicals on the baby and your saving so much. The upfront cost is a little more but go on Amazon look at the ALVA BABY AIO (all in one) they have 6 diapers and inserts included for $38!!! I used best bottom with my last baby but plan to cut that huge cost ($16 per diaper) by switching to Alva with the twins :)

If you have a strong stomach than do it but it get pretty gross . I changed my mind after knowing the fact of how difficult it actually is . It's easier just to throw one away 😂

Following for advice. We are cloth diapering, I have seen it and it's no as bad as people think to clean. I would recommend a toilet attachment so you can rinse majority of poo or things out before throwing in washer!

No experience thus far, but I'm a FTM also planning on cloth diapering. I've wanted to go that route for years though. I've been slowly building my stash the last few months. I've been getting mainly AIOs, because those seem the most likely for us to use. And I like that there's no stuffing or extra work involved.  There are brands that people love, but every baby is (obviously) built a little different so I've gotten a few different kinds-BumGenius, Thirsties, and the Nicki's Diapers brand. We're also busy a lot so I got several Buttons and Best Bottoms systems for when we're out and about. There are cheaper options available, but I felt like I (and especially my husband) would be more likely to stick with it if we went with the most convenient options. And it will still end up saving tons of money.

I got advice from a mom who cloth diapered two and one of the things she mentioned was maybe waiting a while to start full time, which I thought was a good option. I got several large boxes of disposables at my shower and have no qualms about using those at first, or if we're traveling out of town, etc. She also mentioned going to a class, but I live in a more rural, not-so-environmentally-friendly state so I don't even have a local store that sells cloth diapers, much less a class. But might be something for you to look into!

Good luck! There's a ton of info out there and while it's not for everyone, most of the moms I know who have done it are super happy with their decision! I know it will be a learning process, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

We are going to be using GroVia hybrids. It's a reusable shell that you wash after 2-3 changes and inserts that snap into the bottom. You can also use prefolds instead of the inserts. They are cheaper but less absorbent.

Ragababe are the best! Say no more! I'm new to cloth diapering too and have brand from bumgenius,  blueberry,  thx, alva, imagine, rumparooz, best bottom, kissaluvs, tot bots, happy heinys, grovia , bottom bumpers and so far my favorite and hubby's fave yupp the hubby likes them!! Are the ragababe brand!

My son is due in August and I'll be using cloth exclusively on him. I decided on diaper covers with prefolds, flats, and fitteds so that I have a variety of options and wouldn't have to worry about leaving him with the grandparents (fitteds are easy peasy). I also decided on Blueberry bc a few friends recommended them and Green Mountain Diaper brand bc of their reviews online. I bought 6 Blueberry diaper covers, 12 GMD prefold diapers, 24 GMD flat diapers, and 2 GMD fitted diapers per size.
