Will taking prenatal pills help if trying to get pregnant?

I know their only suppose to take during pregnancy but I know they won't magically help you get pregnant if you keep taking them but I read that it's good to take them before you get pregnant is it true

You are supposed to start taking prenatals 6 months before you conceive.

I've read that it's better to start taking them when you are ttc so that they are already in your system.

Yes they won't help you get pregnant but it will help once you do become pregnant to have those essential nutrients from the start for baby. I don't think it makes that much of a difference honestly if you take them before or just as soon as you find out but I'm no expert, so it's really just what you want to do.
