is this my period?¿

I'm 13... and just got my first period (or what I think is my period) in March 2016. it was like a quarter sized gooey clump of reddish brownish stuff in my underwear. it lasted about 8 days... but it never looked like blood.  it was always brown & stringy and never looked like blood. I didn't have a period in April, & in May it lasted about 3 days of brown stringish stuff... and I haven't had one since then. is this my period?
