Cervical Incompetence

A couple of years ago I lost my baby boy around 20 weeks after flying home for vacation. The reason for the sudden loss was inconclusive, so when I found out I was expecting a little over a year later my OB talked to me about having a cerclage done. Since we didn't know what caused the early labor with the previous pregnancy my husband and I decided to have the cerclage because we didn't want to experience another loss. I was induced and delivered a healthy baby girl just shy of 40 weeks due to a positive strep b test. Well I am expecting, currently 12 weeks and 3 days and will be going to have a cerclage done on Wednesday this week. My OB has told my husband and I that we most likely won't be able to have any hanky panky (his words, lol) until I'm at least 27 weeks. Is there anyone else that has experienced anything of the sort?
