Baby monitor suggestion?

What brand/style of baby monitor do you
recommend? This is one of the few items we have left to purchase, but there are so many choices! Would prefer not to spend a fortune.

We have a Motorola, not sure exactly what model, but it works great. The screen is about 3 in which is plenty big. Definitely recommend having the video option. My LO grunts a lot, it's so nice being able to look at him to see if he's still asleep or has actually woken up. It has a lot of features we don't use though...microphone, plays music, pans the room. But I do like that I can use the handset to turn the camera around the room. We ended up moving his crib after a few months and I could just aim the camera at the crib instead of having to take it down and move it.

I don't have a specific model to recommend, but you don't really need much. Video is definitely recommended but you don't need a big screen or any extras really (panning/zooming). Even with a really cheap one you will get alerted when they make noise and you can see them enough to decide if they are okay. Check Amazon for a wide selection and you shouldn't need to spend $100. Also you can search for wifi cameras too which do the same thing but just send the video to your phone so you don't have to have the extra handset. These are often cheaper.
