Birth Control shot

I've been on the birth control shot for 11months now and I've had 3 shots so far but I've been bleeding for like three mints straight...ill get the shot every 3months on time and I still bleed every time the entire month, is this healthy? I was thinking about switching birth control methods like the patch, what y'all think on this method also....next time I go back...I hate bleeding this long and my fiancé hates it also...he wants me to get off of it immediately so if y'all can give me some advice I would really appreciate it....thank you
