Is it okay to have wine while pregnant? If so how much? Just curious.

Get ready to wade into controversy! On the one hand, there are no current studies that show harm from having 1-2 glasses a week or something in that range. On the other hand, alcohol crosses the placental barrier and reaches the fetus, and is one of the substances we know to have the worst impacts in larger doses. There isn't a way to know what exactly is a safe dose, and no way to measure all the possible ways alcohol could affect a fetus (current studies that have not found an impact for small doses mainly focus on IQ and behavior). SO! It's an area on which intelligent people can disagree, and often disagree strongly.

I would honestly ask your doctor. Some will be on the end of "absolutely not" and others will agree that 1-2 glasses (usually of red) a week isn't a bad thing.
Mainly it stems from alcohol consumption in the first trimester and an over consumption, which is sometimes because the lady doesn't know she's pregnant. 
My husbands aunt couldn't carry a baby to term till her doctor recommended a class of red wine a day. She ended up having a healthy baby.
Also, there is a cultural consideration. In many other countries, women drink a glass of wine with dinner, and they're babies are fine. FAS is mainly a US problem if I remember correctly.

If nothing is clear about this issue, is it worth taking the risk?

I had half a glass of wine a few weeks ago. My doctor said just a little tiny bit every so often won't hurt. But I felt guilty and probably won't have anymore until after baby is born.
