Earlier today I was prepping for dinner and I felt a sudden gush of fluid. I know I didn't pee myself and my daughter pointed out the big wet spot on my shorts! I went to the bathroom and cleaned up but it just looked like fluid not discharge and it didn't smell like pee. So I called my doctors office and the nurse told me to come to the OB. So I changed and went in. The nurse hooked me up to monitor my baby and I was having tiny contractions. She said everything looked good with baby. She then checked my cervix and didn't think I was dilated. She went and called my doctor to report back and he offered to come in and see me! (Heck yes! How awesome?!) So he came and did a test and it was negative for amniotic fluid. I am dilated to 1 cm and he told me I probably won't make it to 40 weeks. I'm just glad my baby girl is ok and we might get to meet her sooner than we thought!
