Pcos?

Has anyone ever heard this? 
I read that someone didn't have they're period for a couple of months and then they found out they had pcos. Makes me nervous 😢

That's what happened to me. I was 18, hadn't had my period in 6 months, on the 7th month I decided to go to the doctor and get everything checked out and was diagnosed with PCOS and put on a strong pill that pushed my period out (painful and horrible). After that my doctor said in order for me to have normal periods and a normal cycle I needed to be on birth control, so she put me on the pill. I was on that for five months, then decided to go vegan - and stopped taking the pill. My periods were completely normal after that. I do attribute a lot of it to going vegan, I feel like it cleaned out my body a lot. And diet is important when having PCOS, you don't want anything with added hormones (meats and other animal products) and anything processed or anything that will mess up your insulin levels. That's my experience and I strongly recommend for woman with PCOS to read up on it! My husband and I are now on our TTC journey!

I have pcos for a few years now. It is very common nowadays. Diet and lifestlye changes along with medications can really help.
