Should I just rest or carry on as normal?

Yesterday I had a scan at 7 weeks and she told me there was a bleed underneath the baby. She said I can expect some brown spotting which is nothing to worry about. I got it today.. Not worried because she said it's normal and hopefully means the clot is starting to go. But should I take it easy and rest or can I carry on as normal? She didn't say anything about taking it easier herself but I don't know if I could cause more bleeding or something
