The real deal on RRLT

Ashley🌹🌹🌺 • I'm a FTM with experience of babies from raising my sister. I'm an herbal nut who's madly in love with my soulmate.
I thought I would make an attempt to bust a myth today. Red raspberry leaf tea.
MYTH: it is unsafe for pregnancy, could cause harm to baby and/or mother.
REALITY: is a #1 go to amongst midwives and herbalists, and even a few doctors. (Which is a short list, but I've heard of it happening)
I'm going to tell y'all WHY this is a myth. I am a walking, talking, pregnant texting proof.
3+ years ago I tested negative for a pregnancy, but had all the hormones and body changes of one. I then suffered a miscarriage just a few weeks later, days before I was going in to be examined. To this day we don't know if it was a chemical or true pregnancy. (I personally lean towards chemical)
Fast forward to last year. In September-November I was taking an herbal detox that purifies your system, pulls out terrible toxins, and is COMPLETELY UNSAFE FOR PREGNANCY.
Lo and behold, I pop up pregnant during this time. Didn't know it, hadn't had a clue. I thought that I was probably going to lose this child as well since the detox I was on was strong enough to seriously mess a baby up at any stage.
An herbalist suggested RRL in pill form to help balance my hormones out and prep my body for the pregnancy that it was now struggling to handle since I had had it working so hard detoxing while pregnant. I did so for the entire first trimester.
At the second trimester (which wasn't long, I was 2 months pregnant when we found out) I switched to this brand because I have used their products for years and I was suffering from an iron deficiency.
This here is high in vitamin C, K, iron and a ton of other stuff.
Before taking it I had horrible VIOLENT night sickness, but because of the peppermint in it, it eliminated that completely.
I have taken this since 20 some odd weeks. Paid $30 for it at my herbal store. I'm now 36w. Best damn $30 I've spent.
While I was working I had people come into my work with highly contagious diseases, I had 2 or 3 coworkers hospitalized, and ran with a skeleton crew for nearly a month because of illness. I NEVER GOT SICK. In fact I felt great! I slept wonderfully, I felt like my old logical self, and I could eat whatever I wanted without heartburn. 😎😎
Fast forward to now. My son's stats have been great, and the longer I take it the better they get. I have not once had an odd Bp, nor has he had any issues. His heartbeat and activities are picture perfect. In fact I was seen last night by a doctor who I have never seen before, who was astonished by our stats, especially his.
Reason I went to be seen? He stopped wiggling. Come to find out, I've been having (mostly unfelt) contractions since 32w because my uterus is primed so well, and has been pushing him into the birth canal. (Seriously I was having contractions, laying there twiddling my thumbs, not feeling much of anything while being stared at. 😳 creepy!!)
Last week his head couldn't be seen on an US because of how far he's gone. He has since dropped close to 5 inches further and cannot kick me like he could previously.
I'm likely to be holding my son in less than two weeks. (I'm quoting my doctor as of last week)
7 months ago I thought I had killed my baby. 6 months ago I thought he would come out disfigured.
In just a few days I'm going to hand my husband his son and watch my big grizzly bear of a hubby start bawling because we were terrified.
The idea that RRLT harms your baby, you, or anything else is a lie. Herbalists recommend it for pregnancy, TTC, and during a MC. If it were true my son would be seriously messed up and doctors wouldn't be asking what I'm doing differently than everyone else. I've done this whole pregnancy on RRLT, and I will finish PP on it to heal faster.
Go ask an herbalist, someone who is trained in pregnancy. Don't believe in the myth that this won't help you. I'm not trying to sell you anything, but I do feel for y'all because you don't have to suffer the nausea, the heartburn, the hormone imbalances and sleepless nights.
I hope that this has cleared up some of the confusion. If you have any questions I'll answer what I can, but go talk to an herbalist who knows RRLT in and out.
